Community standards
Good neighbors make better adventures.

AYCR is built around clear listings, respectful handoffs, and practical communication. These standards explain the behavior we expect from every Owner and Renter.
Owner standards
- List only gear you own or are authorized to rent, and represent it accurately with current photos and an honest condition description.
- For launch review, provide at least three current, clear photos, practical pickup guidance, and at least two upcoming available dates. Keep all three current after the listing is approved.
- Keep gear clean, functional, and reasonably maintained. Disclose known defects, missing parts, material wear, and user requirements before a Renter books.
- Set clear requirements, respond promptly to requests, and provide the item in the condition described.
- Respect a Renter's privacy. Share exact handoff details only when they are needed for an approved rental.
- Do not cancel a confirmed rental without a real reason. If a problem arises, communicate promptly through AYCR.
Renter standards
- Read the listing, ask questions, and book gear that is appropriate for your experience and plans.
- Be on time, treat the item with care, and follow the Owner's reasonable instructions and applicable law.
- Never let an unauthorized person use rented gear. Report a problem, accident, loss, or damage promptly.
- Return the item at the agreed time and in the condition received, ordinary wear and tear excepted.
Everyone
Use AYCR to communicate and pay for the rental. Be honest, respectful, and direct. Harassment, discrimination, threats, fake reviews, fraud, and attempts to move an AYCR transaction off-platform are not allowed.
When something does not go to plan, document the facts, communicate calmly, and give AYCR a chance to help. These standards supplement the Terms of Service and do not replace them.
