1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use AYCR, we may collect account details, contact information, listing details and photos, availability, booking dates, payment and payout status, pickup or return information, communications, support requests, and damage or dispute documentation.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe or another provider identified in the booking flow. AYCR generally does not need to store complete card numbers, but may receive limited payment-related information such as transaction status or payment account identifiers.

• If a category or transaction requires verification, AYCR or a provider may request identity, age, licensing, certification, or insurance information.
• We and our service providers may automatically collect device, browser, IP address, activity, cookie, and approximate-location information to operate, protect, and improve the platform.

2. How we use information

• Create and maintain accounts and listings.
• Facilitate bookings, payments, payouts, refunds, pickup, return, and support.
• Connect Owners and Renters for a transaction.
• Prevent fraud, unauthorized activity, safety issues, and policy violations.
• Resolve disputes and damage claims; protect users, AYCR, and third parties; and comply with law.
• Improve, personalize, and understand use of the platform, and send marketing communications where permitted by law.

3. How we disclose information

AYCR may share information reasonably necessary to complete a rental between an Owner and Renter, including names, contact details, and pickup or delivery information. Users may use another member's information only for legitimate transaction-related purposes or as otherwise permitted by law.

We may disclose information to service providers that support payment processing, hosting, communications, support, fraud prevention, security, analytics, or verification; for legal, safety, or fraud-prevention reasons; and in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.

4. Cookies, analytics, and communications

AYCR may use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, detect fraud, understand marketplace use, and measure marketing effectiveness. Where required by law, we will provide applicable choice or opt-out mechanisms.

AYCR may send transactional communications about accounts, bookings, payments, security, claims, support, and policy changes. Promotional emails will include a way to opt out. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary transactional communications.

5. Security and retention

AYCR uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and users are responsible for protecting their account credentials.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the marketplace, complete transactions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by information type and purpose.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, an opt-out of certain targeted advertising or sharing, or an appeal of a privacy decision. These rights are subject to legal exceptions and verification requirements.

7. Children, third parties, and updates

AYCR is not intended for children. Users must be at least 18 to create an account, list an item, or complete a rental. AYCR does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The marketplace may link to or integrate with third-party services. Those services have their own privacy practices. We may update this Privacy Policy and will post a revised Last Updated date; where required, we will provide additional notice for material changes.
